RDA Issues Notices to Five Illegal Housing Societies

Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has issued notices to the owners of five illegal housing societies. These notices issues to stop them from floating advertisements to plunder innocent citizens and development work.

Director MP&TE Jamshed Aftab, say RDA has also obtained demolition orders besides filing complaints with police for registration of cases against the owners of five illegal housing societies.

The five illegal housing societies are Blue World City, Khanial Homes (Chakri Road), Rudn Enclave. Also, Engro Farm Houses (Adiala Road), and Broha Farm Houses in Murree are illegal.

The Director MP & TE have served the owners of five illegal housing societies with notices. These notices issues will stop them from floating advertisements to lure innocent people and from development work.

Basically, these are the warning letters. But if the societies do not stop the development and advertisement immediately, RDA would seal their site offices.

Moreover, RDA advises the general public that they should not make any investment in any illegal/unauthorized housing scheme. Otherwise, they themselves will be responsible for their losses.

As the status of these housing societies is illegal. So, RDA has also requested Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO), Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd (SNGPL), and PTCL not to extend their services.

Also, on the orders of Chairman RDA Tariq MehmoodMurtaza and  Director General (DG) RDA Ammara Khan, directed the MP&TE Directorate without any fear or favor will take strict action against illegal/unauthorized commercial and residential construction activities.
